I’ve been teaching yoga for decades and have seen an increase in the number of students with a diagnosis of Osteoporosis or Osteopina. It is estimated that there are 3 million sufferers in the United Kingdom alone.
We enjoyed an amazing party night full of fun, surprises, fancy dress, food, drink, games, quiz, creativity and laughter. They say time flies when you are having fun and indeed 3 hours just wasn’t long enough this year as we didn’t get to dance very much, if at all!
Our Aura Yoga Community came together to celebrate, with a Christmas themed, dinner and dance evening this month, demonstrating the true essence of word ‘Kula’ in Sanskrit.
I was listening to Radio Bristol last Saturday and John Hoare from the Bristol Laughter Club, the oldest Laughter Yoga Club outside India, was being interviewed about Laughter Yoga and inevitably there was lots of laughter!
Yoga means “Union”. It is a centuries old practice that promotes balance, harmony, energy, deep breathing and relaxation.
Hyperemesis Gravidarum is excessive nausea and vomiting during pregnancy and I’ve first-hand experience of it as I suffered with the condition during each of my pregnancies, as did my mother and maternal grandmother before me. There is a tendency for the condition to run in families.
This week’s yoga classes have been full of even more joy and celebration than usual due to the fact that I’ve been teaching yoga for 21 years! They say time flies when you are having fun and I can confirm it certainly does. I consider it such a privilege to share my yoga experience (which I consider somewhat limited, as the more I learn the more I realize there is to learn) with others and receive payment for doing so!
